About Our Church

Our Vision

“Growing in community by presenting the good news of and the new life in, Jesus Christ.”

Who We Are

Ormeau Community Church, founded in 2004, is a contemporary, family orientated church that functions in a non-denominational manner.

We are interested in making positive connections with our community and doing what we can to bring hope, support, and understanding to all who are in need.

We are motivated by the love of God and the belief that He is able to transform lives and bring hope to even the darkest situations.

Community Programs

We believe that God has equipped each one of us with a unique purpose and with passions and gifts to serve Him. We see this lived out in our church family as they reach out into our community through services like chaplaincy, children’s programs, youth groups and community events.

Introduction to Christianity

Who is God? Who is Jesus? What does it mean to be a Christian? What does the Bible really say?

Come and explore these questions and more at our range of weekly interactive studies designed for those of us who are looking to understand life, God and our place in the world.

Chaplaincy

Ormeau Community Church runs chaplaincy programs at both Ormeau Woods State High School (3 days per week), Norfolk Village State Primary School (3 days per week) and Pimpama State Secondary College (2 days per week).

The chaplaincy services have been running since the schools opened in 2008 and both school communities have been blessed by the care, support and encouragement that these programs have provided.

If you are interested in more information about the chaplaincy programs or would like to know how you could support these important services please contact Michael Harding on 0425 308 426.

The chaplaincy programs at Ormeau Woods and Norfolk Village schools are jointly funded by both Ormeau Community Church and the Federal Government through the National Schools Chaplaincy and Student Welfare Program (NSCSWP).
